Afterlives of Revolution: Everyday Counterhistories in Southern Oman – with Alice Wilson

The ERC LIVE-AR project team is pleased to announce the the eighth and next-to-last session of the monthly seminar series « Activists Pathways and Political Crises » . It will take place on May 7 2024, from 2pm to 4pm (CET – Paris time). Our speaker will be Alice Wilson (University of Sussex), who will present a lecture entitled « Afterlives of Revolution: Everyday Counterhistories in Southern Oman ».
The session will take place at CEPED, Paris Cité University, Saint-Germain campus, and by videoconference, in English.

Speaker’s biography

Alice Wilson a rejoint l’Université du Sussex en tant que maître de conférences en anthropologie sociale en septembre 2016, et est devenue maître de conférences en 2018. Auparavant, elle a bénéficié de post-docs en tant que Addison Wheeler Research Fellow à l’Université de Durham (2014-2016) et en tant que Junior Research Fellow au Homerton College, Université de Cambridge (2011-2014). Alice Wilson a obtenu son doctorat en anthropologie sociale à l’Université de Cambridge (2011). Elle est également l’auteur de Afterlives of Revolution (2023) et Sovereignty in Exile : A Saharan Liberation Movement Governs (2016).
